Workshop: GEN Education – a global learning journey for regeneration

11.07.2018 / 8:30 PM  – 10 PM

With Kosha Joubert

Join this conversation to learn more about the new GEN Learning Journey, how and why to run GEN certified workshops, the new GEN Training of Trainers, and what it means to be a GEN Trainer. The Global Ecovillage Learning Journey is a flexible curriculum, designed to link ecovillage education across the globe into a certified and recogniseable programme for ecovillage-based regenerative skills and knowledge. In essence – a way to link up and amplify the impact, reach and visibility of workshops and trainers in our networks, and make it easier for learners to access the incredible wealth of educational opportunities ecovillages offer. GEN Trainers is a growing community of ecovillage educators –  a diverse and international group of change-makers, linked by a grounding in ecovillage living, skills in facilitating participatory learning, and a commitment to community-led action for regeneration. As a GEN trainer, you can turn your workshops into parts of the GEN Learning Journey. You also become part of our resource bank for matching local needs with local trainers, for when people contact GEN in search for ecovillage training – and more In this conversation, we will share more with you about the learning journey and GEN Trainers, how to get certified, and also listen to your feedback and ideas for how to support the spread of ecovillage based skills and knowledge even more.

Workshop: Introducing ecovillage model to the Estonian communities: four aspects of sustainability.

12.07.2018 / 11:30 AM  – 1 PM and 3 PM – 5 PM

With Kosha Joubert

The aim of the workshop is to reach out to Estonian rural and urban neighbourhoods who have expressed interest in transitioning into more conscious and sustainable communities to give ideas, examples and inspiration from the GEN movement and such communities from around the world. With the help of Ecovillage Playing Cards the examples of a typical traditional Estonian village and a post-Soviet urban neighbourhood are pondered making thus also a functional introduction to the four dimensions of sustainability. The workshop is intended especially for invited participants from the country – village leaders, community activists, community-based project initiators. It is open to all conference participants with similar aims and backgrounds!
