Fertility: a new paradigm

A little bit more than half of the population will be having a menstrual cycle for about two thirds of their lives – cycles that are crucial for the survival of humankind. Yet, we are provided very little information on how fertility and the menstrual cycle works.

In this class we will look at how the menstrual cycle functions, and how we can learn to chart our physiological signs of fertility – giving us a deep understanding of our bodies. This knowledge can be used as an effective method of noninvasive birth control; a method of achieving pregnancy; a tool for monitoring hormonal health; or to simply gain a deeper understanding of ourselves.

We will also speak about why a shift towards a more cyclical way of thinking is a key component in building a healthy society, and how becoming aware of our bodies’ cycles can help us embody it. We will also dip our toes into general menstrual cycle and fertility health.
