After Neoliberalism: The New Story?

The dominant neoliberal story of unending economic growth continues to dominate our civiization in spite of total failure by any objective measure. Why? Because it tells a (false) story that has widespread appeal. We need a new story that is just as attractive but which will lead to the opposite policies.
Ross Jackson will put forward some thoughts on the principles and policies of this new story that will appeal—not to governments—but to citizens, in particular citizens of micro-regions who want more control over and meaning in their lives. Good examples of well-designed regional development that satisfy real citizen needs can be broadly replicated and potentially reverse the current negative global trends.
